Born a city boy he grew up dreaming of adventure in the wilderness areas. His parents would take his siblings and him on weekly hikes in the nearby state parks and forests. This instilled in him a deep respect and fondness for nature. He knew someday he would break from the confines of the city and spend the rest of his life closer to nature.
Wanting to be more like the indians he took up hunting and fishing as a young teen. His father, who had once been an avid sportsmen, began instructing his brother and him on how to be a responsable hunter and angler. Then he let them learn for themselves how to "walk" with nature.
In the fall and early winter you wont find him because he will have taken his van deep into the woods to pursue the elusive whitetail. In spring and early summer it's flyfishing for trout or hunting wild turkey.
"I think having a 4x4 van has made me a more successful outdoorsmen. I can quietly camp close to the game and have complete mobility. It seems we seldom head for home without some meat for the freezer"
"I have been fortunate to harvest over 50 deer with my bow or rifle. Here are a few pictures of some of them and some that my son has gotten. Most the deer were talken off public land while still hunting. We hunt for meat so they aren't exactly trophy bucks, but hopefully you will enjoy looking at them, and I wish you success in your hunting and fishing adventures"
